Perpetrators in the Dark

Kurukuro warns all commuters about taxi drivers who turned out to be robbers/ rapists at night. The report came from after an unidentified taxi driver attacked a woman while on her way home in February. At about 2:00AM, the victim flagged down a cab somewhere in Global City, Taguig and requested to bring her home. Just a few kilometers away from her residence, the taxi driver suddenly stopped and asked her to alight from his cab due to mechanical problem. Helpless, the victim alighted from the cab and flagged down another taxi which was waiting for a passenger. As she neared the street where she lived, the second taxi driver suddenly took a wrong turn. The driver grabbed her neck and began attacking her when she complained about the wrong turn. The woman fought back and escaped from her attacker. Bystanders heard the victim’s cry for help which prompted him to escape.
