Akyat Bahay Gang is robbery group whose main targets are unattended homes in subdivisions and crowded residential areas. Members of syndicate will roam around the subdivision compounds and will spot unattended houses whose gates are padlocked. If they see it is padlocked or unattended, they would ring the doorbell or knock on the door to check if there are people. As soon as they confirm that nobody is inside the house, they will try opening the gates and doors using their improvised tools and take vaults and other personal valuables they can carry.

Unscrupulous individuals, like the notorious Akyat Bahay Gang, now take advantage on the innocence of children. Street children became part of criminal gangs controlled by adults. They were taught how to steal and bring back the stolen goods to their leader who will then sell all the stolen items. These innocent kids were only given small percentage of the money gained by the group. Akyat Bahay Gang has emerged and seems to be aggressive and innovative in their operation.
